Selective Offboarding is a carefully managed process of coaching an underperforming employee in a way that creates clarity about performance deficiencies and expectations. In most cases, the employee searches for an opportunity outside the organization and voluntarily resigns within four weeks. If the process takes longer than six weeks, the client may choose to continue the engagement or end the individual's employment. The tools, conversations, and notes provided through Selective Offboarding create a valuable document trail supporting employment termination.
